Albondigas con tomate..... its an addiction

My/our favorite home dish!
A great weekend recipe to enjoy with friends at a home diner party or with family on a sunday.

You need around 40 minutes to prepare and then 40 minutes on the stove & oven.
You need; 1 kilo of minced beef meat, bread-crumbs (in Dutch paneermeel), 3 teaspoons of garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg, 2 eggs, salt & pepper, 60 ml olive oil, 50 grams of flower, 1 big onion, 2 green paprika's, 2 cans of chopped tomatoes, 375 ml chicken-broth, 1 glass of red wine

Mix the meat with 2 teaspoons of garlic, nutmeg, eggs, salt & pepper and roll small meatballs, then roll them thru the flower. Fry the sliced green paprika's with the sliced onion, when soft take them out of the pan and sear the little meatballs. Put back in the pan with your meatball the paprika and onion and ad the 2 cans of chopped tomatoes, chicken-broth, wine and the last garlic.
Put the lid on your pan and let it stir for about 40 minutes (on low gas).

Eat with garlic rosemary potatoes and a tomato mozzarella salad.
Oh and do not forget some good wine and crispy bread (to clean your plate with when you done :-)

Bon appetit
